By using our services, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Who We Are
ThinkMoney is a financial services lead generation and comparison platform operating at thinkmoney.in. We are a Direct Selling Agent (DSA) partnered with Andromeda Sales and Distribution Pvt. Ltd. and Ruloans Distribution Services Pvt. Ltd. for loan products, and an insurance referral partner with PolicyBazaar.
We do not disburse loans, issue insurance policies, or manage investments directly. We connect customers with lenders, insurers, and financial institutions, and earn referral commissions for doing so.

2.1 Information You Provide Directly
- Identity data: Full name
- Contact data: Mobile number, email address
- Location data: Pincode
- Financial data: Loan amount required, employment type (salaried/self-employed), approximate income range — no bank account numbers, Aadhaar, or PAN are ever collected on our platform
- Product preferences: Type of loan, insurance, or investment product you are interested in
- Conversation data: Messages you send to Theo (our AI chatbot) on the website or WhatsApp

- Usage data: Pages visited, buttons clicked, time spent on pages
- Device data: Browser type, operating system, screen resolution, IP address
- Referral data: How you arrived at our website (search engine, referral link, direct)
- Cookie data: See Section 8 below
2.3 Information from Third Parties
- Meta / WhatsApp: When you message us on WhatsApp, Meta provides your WhatsApp display name and phone number to us via the WhatsApp Business API
- Analytics: Aggregated, anonymised data from tools like Google Analytics
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your personal information for the following purposes:
- To deliver our service: Match you with relevant loan, insurance, or investment products from our partner institutions
- To verify your identity: Send OTPs via WhatsApp, SMS, or email to authenticate logins and enquiry submissions
- To connect you with experts: Forward your enquiry details to our DSA partner advisors (Andromeda / Ruloans) or insurance partners (PolicyBazaar) so they can call you back
- To power Theo (AI Chatbot): Process your chat messages to generate relevant financial guidance using our AI service (Groq / Llama)
- To improve our platform: Analyse usage patterns, fix bugs, and improve user experience
- To send service communications: OTPs, enquiry confirmations, and follow-up messages via WhatsApp, SMS, or email
- To comply with law: Meet our legal and regulatory obligations under applicable Indian law
We will never: Sell your personal data to third parties for advertising, send you unsolicited spam, or share your sensitive financial details (Aadhaar, PAN, bank account numbers) — we do not collect these on our platform.
4. How We Share Your Information
4.1 DSA Partners (Loan Enquiries)
When you submit a loan enquiry, your name, mobile number, email, pincode, and loan requirements are shared with our DSA partners — Andromeda Sales and Distribution Pvt. Ltd. and/or Ruloans Distribution Services Pvt. Ltd. — who will assign an advisor to contact you. These partners are bound by their own privacy policies and NBFC/bank partner requirements.
4.2 Insurance Partner (Insurance Enquiries)
Insurance enquiries are referred to PolicyBazaar Insurance Brokers Pvt. Ltd. Your contact details and insurance requirements are shared for follow-up. PolicyBazaar's privacy policy applies to data processed by them.
4.3 Technology Service Providers
We work with the following sub-processors who may access your data to deliver our service:
- Hostinger International Ltd. — Web hosting (servers in EU/Asia)
- Meta Platforms, Inc. — WhatsApp Business API (messaging)
- Groq, Inc. — AI inference for Theo chatbot (messages processed for response generation; not used to train models)
- SendGrid (Twilio) — Email delivery for OTPs and notifications
- Fast2SMS — SMS delivery for OTPs (fallback channel)
- Google LLC — Analytics (anonymised)
4.4 Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required to do so by Indian law, court order, or government authority, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of ThinkMoney, our users, or the public.
5. WhatsApp & Meta Data
We use the WhatsApp Business API (provided by Meta Platforms, Inc.) to:
- Send OTP verification codes to your WhatsApp number
- Power Theo chatbot on WhatsApp — you can chat with Theo at +91 7208210339
When you message our WhatsApp number, your messages are processed by Meta's servers and delivered to our system via webhook. Conversation data is stored temporarily (up to 24 hours) on our servers to maintain chat context, and then deleted. We do not permanently store your WhatsApp conversation history.
Meta processes your data under its own WhatsApp Privacy Policy. We have no control over Meta's data processing practices.
WhatsApp charges: Meta charges us per conversation (approximately ₹0.40–₹1.00 per conversation). There is no charge to you for messaging us.
6. Theo AI Chatbot
Theo is our AI-powered financial guide, available on our website and WhatsApp. Theo is powered by Groq's inference API (running Meta's Llama model).
- Your chat messages are sent to Groq's servers for AI processing to generate responses
- Groq does not use your messages to train AI models (per Groq's enterprise data processing terms)
- Chat history is stored temporarily on our servers (session-based; up to 24 hours for WhatsApp) to maintain conversation context
- Theo does not ask for, and you should never share, sensitive information such as Aadhaar numbers, PAN numbers, passwords, or bank account details in chat
- Theo's responses are AI-generated and should not be treated as formal financial advice. Always verify product details with the relevant lender or institution.
7. OTP & Authentication
We use One-Time Passwords (OTPs) to verify your identity when you log in or submit an enquiry. OTPs are:
- 6-digit codes valid for 10 minutes
- Sent via WhatsApp (primary), SMS (fallback), and email simultaneously
- Never stored in plain text after use — marked as verified and expired
Do not share OTPs with anyone, including people claiming to be from ThinkMoney. We will never ask for your OTP over phone or chat.
8. Cookies & Tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to:
- Essential cookies: Keep you logged in, maintain your session, and remember your preferences
- Analytics cookies: Understand how visitors use our website (Google Analytics — anonymised IP)
- Performance cookies: Help us identify and fix technical issues
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may prevent parts of our service from working correctly. We do not use advertising or targeting cookies.
9. Data Security
We take the security of your personal data seriously and implement appropriate technical and organisational measures including:
- HTTPS / SSL encryption for all data in transit
- Passwords are never stored — we use OTP-based authentication only
- API keys and credentials stored securely in server-side configuration, not in client-side code
- Access to production systems restricted to authorised personnel
- Regular security reviews of our codebase and infrastructure
No method of internet transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we use commercially reasonable measures to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Data Retention
- Enquiry data: Retained for up to 3 years from the date of submission to support follow-up and dispute resolution
- User accounts: Retained while your account is active. Inactive accounts (no login for 2 years) are deleted
- OTP records: Deleted within 24 hours of expiry
- WhatsApp conversation context: Deleted within 24 hours
- Website analytics: Aggregated and anonymised; retained for up to 26 months per Google Analytics settings
- Backup data: May be retained for up to 90 additional days in secure backups
You can request deletion of your data at any time (see Section 11).
11. Your Rights
Under applicable Indian data protection law and our commitment to fair data practices, you have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
- Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data (subject to legal obligations to retain certain records)
- Withdraw consent: Withdraw your consent to data processing at any time (this may affect your ability to use our services)
- Object to processing: Object to us processing your data for marketing or profiling purposes
- Data portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format

12. Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed at, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from, individuals under the age of 18 years. Financial products and services we feature (loans, insurance, investments) are only available to adults who meet lender eligibility requirements.
If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at pancham@thinkmoney.in and we will delete it promptly.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, technology, or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will:

- Where feasible, notify registered users via email or WhatsApp
